WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2006 by Raleigh native Sam Davis, Wingnut Yard Maintenance began as a high school side job mowing lawns for friends and family. After graduating from St. David’s School, Sam pursued his passion for the outdoors at NC State University, earning a degree in Turfgrass Management. With deep local roots and specialized education, Sam steadily grew his business throughout college and beyond.

After graduation, with the support of a dedicated team, Wingnut Yard Maintenance expanded its services to accommodate properties of all sizes—from residential yards to commercial landscapes. What began as a lawn care business has evolved into a full-service landscape and hardscape company, offering everything from routine maintenance to custom outdoor living designs.

As a licensed North Carolina Landscape Contractor since 2015, Wingnut Yard Maintenance remains committed to quality, safety, and ongoing professional development. We stay current with industry best practices through active membership in the Turfgrass Council of North Carolina (TCNC) and the North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association (NCNLA).
